120 Bahadur Box Office Day 6: Farhan Akhtar’s Military Drama Collects Just ₹1 Crore.
Farhan Akhtar’s military drama 120 Bahadur, depicting the historic Battle of Rezang La fought by the 13 Kumaon Regiment, is facing a sharp decline at the box office after a promising opening weekend. Released on November 21, the film marked Akhtar’s return as Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, a Param Vir Chakra awardee.
Despite receiving praise for its emotional depth, hard-hitting dialogues, and strong performances, the film struggled to maintain momentum during the weekdays. Industry tracker Sacnilk estimates that 120 Bahadur collected only ₹1 crore on Day 6, marking its lowest single-day collection since release. The film’s total box office earnings now stand at ₹14 crore.
Box Office Trajectory
Day 1: ₹2.25 crore
Day 2: ₹3.85 crore (71% jump)
Day 3: ₹4 crore
Day 5: ₹1.4 crore
Day 6: ₹1 crore
On Wednesday, overall occupancy was just 6.41%, with night shows performing the best at 8.81%, followed by evening shows at 6.89%. Morning and afternoon shows saw low footfalls of 3.99% and 5.93%, respectively.
About the Film
Directed by Razneesh Ghai and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios, 120 Bahadur chronicles the courage of Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment, during the 1962 Indo-China war. The film also stars Raashii Khanna and was shot across Rajasthan, Ladakh, and Mumbai, capturing the rugged terrains central to the story.
Box Office Competition
The film’s weekday slump coincides with a clash against Mastiii 4, starring Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh, and Aftab Shivdasani. Early estimates on Wednesday showed Mastiii 4 slightly ahead, earning ₹1.15 crore, marginally surpassing 120 Bahadur.
With the weekend approaching, the film now faces a crucial test to regain its momentum at the box office.
