Gunfire erupted outside the residence of YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav in Gurugram early Sunday, as unidentified assailants unleashed a volley of bullets before fleeing the scene.
According to Gurugram Police, the attack took place between 5:30 and 6 am in Sector 57, when three bike-borne men, all masked, fired more than two dozen rounds at the house. The bullets struck the ground and first floors, while Yadav’s caretaker and family members were inside. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Yadav himself, who stays on the upper floors of the building, was away at the time.
“We were sleeping when three masked men arrived on a motorcycle. Two of them got down and opened fire while one waited on the bike. Around 25–30 rounds were fired before they escaped,” Yadav’s father told reporters. He added that the family had not received any threats prior to the incident.
Police teams rushed to the spot, gathered forensic evidence, and began scanning CCTV footage from nearby areas. Legal action has been initiated, and the investigation will proceed once the family’s formal complaint is recorded.
Yadav, currently outside Haryana, has not commented publicly on the incident yet.
The 27-year-old enjoys a massive online following, having transitioned from YouTube success to mainstream fame after winning Bigg Boss OTT in 2023. But his career has also been dogged by controversy. Last year, he was arrested in Noida over allegations of facilitating the supply of snake venom at rave parties. He was later released on bail but continues to face charges in the case.
