Kolkata Law College Rape Case: Chargesheet Reveals Victim Filmed Through Wall Hole.

The 650-page chargesheet in the Kolkata law college rape case states that the main accused, Manojit Mishra, had filmed multiple obscene videos of the victim and used them to blackmail her. Forensic evidence confirmed the rape, with Mishra’s DNA matching samples from the crime scene, police said.

The first-year student was allegedly gang-raped on June 25 on the South Calcutta Law College campus by Mishra, an alumnus, along with co-accused Zaib Ahmed and Pramit Mukherjee. Security guard Pinaki Banerjee has also been named in the chargesheet, bringing the total number of accused to four.

CCTV footage shows the accused dragging and holding the victim hostage. Investigators recovered multiple obscene videos from the mobile phones of the accused, which were filmed through a hole in the exhaust fan on a wall. Voice samples from the videos matched those of the accused, and mobile location data placed them at the crime scene.

The chargesheet also alleges that the security guard locked the guard room instead of alerting the police or nearby staff.

Mishra, who had eight prior arrests and was employed temporarily at the college since 2024, was dismissed following the incident. Ahmed and Mukherjee, students of the institute, were expelled.
