Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has confirmed that his son, Arjun Tendulkar, is officially engaged to Saaniya Chandok.
The couple held a private engagement ceremony attended only by close family and friends. Saaniya, who prefers to stay out of the public spotlight, hails from a prominent Mumbai business family and is the granddaughter of businessman Ravi Ghai, whose ventures include the InterContinental hotel and the Brooklyn Creamery ice cream brand.
Tendulkar shared the news during a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) session on August 25. When a fan asked, “Did Arjun really get engaged??”, he replied, “Yes he did, and we are all very excited for the new phase in his life.”
Praise for daughter Sara
During the AMA, Tendulkar also lauded his daughter Sara Tendulkar for her entrepreneurial achievements. Sara recently launched her own Pilates studio in Andheri, Mumbai, emphasizing core strength, flexibility, posture, and controlled breathing. The studio is equipped with reformers, mats, and resistance tools, with professional instructors guiding clients through exercises to enhance overall balance and wellness.
Tendulkar highlighted Sara’s dedication and vision, explaining that her commitment and perseverance were key to turning her dream into reality. When a fan asked what advice he gives his children, he said:
“I have always believed that you must chase your dreams because that’s how they become a reality. Like in cricket and in life, you have to trust the process, and results always follow the action.”
Sara, who was recently named the face of Tourism Australia’s “Come and Say G’day” campaign for Indian audiences, shared in an interview with India Today how she invests time daily to ensure her Pilates studio operates exactly as she envisioned, reflecting her personal commitment to quality and wellness.
This announcement marks a celebratory moment for the Tendulkar family, highlighting both Arjun’s new chapter and Sara’s professional accomplishments.
