Rani Mukerji Salutes Indian Police Ahead of Mardaani 3 Release.
Rani Mukerji is all set to reprise her iconic role as fearless cop Shivani Shivaji Roy in Yash Raj Films’ Mardaani 3. Ahead of her return to the big screen, the actress took a moment to pay tribute to the Indian Police Force on the occasion of Indian Police Day 2025.
Honoring Courage and Dedication
Rani expressed her admiration for the men and women in uniform:
“It is an honour for me to salute the Indian Police Force through my film franchise Mardaani. Across the nation, cops risk their lives, sacrifice personal moments, and dedicate themselves to keeping us safe. Words cannot do justice to their service.”
She continued, “On Indian Police Day, I salute their unwavering courage, relentless dedication, and selfless service. Behind every uniform is a human being—a son, daughter, husband, wife, father, or mother—who chose to put the nation first. I respect the force with all my heart and will make sure every Indian knows their sacrifices.”
Mardaani 3: A Tribute Through Film
Talking about her role, Rani said, “Police work is simply exemplary. They confront danger fearlessly and miss important moments in their lives to serve the nation. Their courage and devotion inspire me, and through Mardaani, I hope to honour them.”
After the success of Mardaani (2014) and Mardaani 2 (2019), the third installment promises a darker, grittier experience for audiences. Directed by Abhiraj Minawala and produced by Aditya Chopra, Mardaani 3 is set to release in cinemas on February 27, 2026.
