Lucknow Raid: Jaish-Linked Doctor’s Brother Detained, Phones, Knives and Digital Devices Seized.

A joint operation by the Uttar Pradesh Police and the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) at the Lucknow residence of Parvez Ansari, brother of doctor Shaheen Shahid, led to the recovery of six mobile phones, three large knives, an international calling card, a computer, and other digital devices. Shaheen Shahid was previously arrested for her alleged role in the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM)-linked “white-collar” Faridabad terror module.

The raid is part of an ongoing probe into the Red Fort blast, which occurred shortly after the terror module was dismantled on Monday. Ansari, a teacher at Integral University, attempted to flee following his sister’s arrest but was apprehended and is currently under interrogation.

Investigators said the mobile phones were allegedly used by Ansari to communicate with contacts in Jammu, while the international calling card was reportedly used to liaise with foreign-based handlers. The ATS also stated that Ansari had developed a system to evade signal tracing, complicating authorities’ efforts to track his communications.

A computer with a secret disk was recovered during the search, which authorities believe may contain critical evidence. Forensic teams are currently examining the data for further leads.

The three knives found in the house are being assessed to determine whether they were linked to illicit activities or intended for future use. Ansari’s vehicle, registered in Saharanpur, was also seized, connecting him to another suspect, Adil Ahmad, arrested on November 7 in Jammu and Kashmir. Adil, a resident of Anantnag, had rented a house in Saharanpur and worked at Famous Hospital for the past six months.
