Pulwama Home of Delhi Blast Suspect Dr Umar Nabi Demolished by Security Forces.

Security forces carried out a controlled demolition of the Pulwama residence of Dr Umar Nabi, a key suspect in this week’s Red Fort explosion, early Friday morning. Authorities said the house was destroyed using an improvised explosive device (IED) as part of the ongoing investigation.

Officials have linked the Hyundai i20 used in Monday’s blast, which killed 13 and injured over 20, to Dr Umar Nabi, a Kashmir-based doctor believed to have been driving the vehicle. His exact role in the attack remains under investigation.

Following the blast, Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted overnight raids, arresting six people, including three of Umar’s family members. Officials revealed that Umar had maintained contact with two other doctors from Kashmir, who were detained in connection with the Faridabad terror module, which involved the seizure of 2,900 kg of explosives.

Umar’s identity was confirmed after DNA from the blast site matched his mother’s samples. Once regarded as a bright and academically driven doctor, officials say he appeared to have drifted toward radical ideologies over the past two years, joining multiple extremist messaging groups online.

Authorities also reported that Umar, along with Dr Muzammil Ahmad Ganaie and Dr Shaheen Shahid, coordinated parts of the alleged plot via the Switzerland-based encrypted platform Threema, while a small Signal group managed specific operations.
