Actor Akshay Kumar and wife Twinkle Khanna were involved in a frightening road accident on Monday evening in Juhu, shortly after returning to Mumbai from an overseas trip. The incident occurred as the couple was travelling from the airport to their residence, drawing immediate attention from onlookers.

According to reports, a speeding Mercedes collided with an auto rickshaw, which then crashed into a vehicle from Akshay Kumar’s security convoy. The impact caused the convoy vehicle to hit the actor’s SUV, resulting in a chain collision near Silver Beach café.

Despite the severity, no fatalities were reported. The auto driver and passenger, briefly trapped after their vehicle was crushed under the security car, were rescued moments later. Eyewitnesses said Akshay Kumar immediately stepped out of his SUV, along with his staff, to assist the occupants, lifting the auto and helping them to safety before medical help arrived. One witness told Hindustan Times, “It was scary to see the accident but thankfully everyone is safe.”

Authorities confirmed that all involved, including the auto occupants, escaped serious injury. The mishap caused brief traffic congestion in the area.

The accident came just hours after the couple returned from a special trip abroad celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. They had shared glimpses of their vacation on social media, including a paragliding video posted by Twinkle Khanna, captioned: “The best part of our marriage? We always encourage each other to fly. Sometimes literally, like today! Here’s to 25 years of love, support and jumping off mountains @akshaykumar.”

Akshay Kumar also marked the milestone with a heartfelt post, recalling his wedding day and celebrating their 25 years together.
