Mouni Roy Turns Off Instagram Comments Amid Divorce Rumours and Trolling Over Disha Patani Interaction

Mouni Roy has disabled comments on her Instagram posts after she and husband Suraj Nambiar publicly announced their separation in a joint statement on Thursday.

The couple confirmed that they had decided to part ways and requested privacy as they navigate the situation privately and amicably. Soon after sharing the statement, Mouni reportedly turned off the comments section on the post and hid existing reactions.

However, despite the restrictions, social media users began flooding older posts linked to the actress and dragging Disha Patani into the controversy without any verified basis. Several users posted speculative and inappropriate comments, accusing Disha of being responsible for problems in Mouni and Suraj’s marriage.

The trolling intensified after comments on the divorce announcement became inaccessible, prompting users to shift discussions to unrelated older posts online.

In their statement, Mouni and Suraj criticised what they described as “intrusive attention” surrounding their personal lives and dismissed circulating rumours as “fictitious narratives” and “blatant falsehoods.”

The couple stated that after thoughtful reflection, they had mutually decided to move forward separately while continuing to maintain mutual respect and understanding. They also asked for privacy and thanked well-wishers for their support during a difficult phase.

Speculation around trouble in their marriage had been growing over the past few days after fans noticed that the two appeared to have unfollowed each other on Instagram, sparking rumours of a possible separation.

Mouni and Suraj first met during a New Year celebration in Dubai in 2018 through mutual friends. Despite managing a long-distance relationship between Mumbai and Dubai, the couple remained together for several years before marrying in Goa in 2022 in both Malayali and Bengali wedding ceremonies.

While the separation announcement has drawn widespread attention online, there has been no evidence linking Disha Patani to the couple’s personal issues, and much of the speculation circulating on social media remains unverified.
