Reality TV personality Lindsie Chrisley has been booked in Georgia on suspicion of driving under the influence and released shortly after posting bail, according to reports.
The 36-year-old, known for her appearance on Chrisley Knows Best, was taken into custody by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office in the early hours of Sunday around 2 am, as per reports cited by Page Six. She was later processed at a county jail and released roughly two-and-a-half hours later after posting a bail amount reported to be just under $6,000.
Authorities have reportedly charged Chrisley with multiple offences, including driving under the influence, reckless driving, attempting to elude law enforcement, improper lane change and speeding.
Following the arrest, Chrisley spoke to TMZ, disputing the allegations and offering her account of the incident. She claimed she was trying to avoid a potential accident involving an animal on the road when the situation escalated and she was pulled over for speeding.
Officials have not released further details regarding the circumstances of the arrest or confirmed whether any collision or injuries were involved.
The development adds to a series of legal controversies linked to members of the Chrisley family in recent years, which have kept them in the public spotlight. Lindsie Chrisley had previously stepped away from Chrisley Knows Best in 2017 and has had a strained public relationship with her family.
She shares a son, Jackson, with former husband Will Campbell. The couple separated in 2021.
Chrisley has said she intends to challenge the charges as the case moves forward.
