Dhamaal 4 Box Office: Ajay Devgn’s Comedy Eyes ₹16 Crore Opening-Day Collection.

Ajay Devgn’s Dhamaal 4 is set to continue Bollywood’s revival of popular comedy franchises, with early trade estimates suggesting the film could open at ₹15-16 crore on its first day at the Indian box office. While that would mark one of the biggest openings of Devgn’s career, it may still fall short of the franchise record set by Total Dhamaal.

Strong Advance Booking Momentum

Advance bookings for Dhamaal 4 have gathered pace ahead of its July 10 release. By Thursday morning, the film had sold over 60,000 tickets for its opening day, generating more than ₹1.65 crore in advance sales. Including block bookings, the pre-release gross crossed ₹5 crore.

The response is considered encouraging, especially since comedy films typically rely more on spot bookings than advance sales. With ticket sales continuing to grow, exhibitors expect a healthy turnout on opening day.

₹16 Crore Start on the Cards

Trade analysts believe Dhamaal 4 has a clear advantage as the latest instalment of a successful franchise. The absence of major competition at the box office also works in its favour, with last week’s release Alpha slowing significantly after its opening weekend.

Industry estimates currently peg the film’s opening-day collection between ₹15 crore and ₹16 crore, while more cautious projections place it around ₹13 crore.

If it reaches the higher end of expectations, Dhamaal 4 would register a bigger opening than some of Ajay Devgn’s recent blockbusters, including Tanhaji (₹15.10 crore) and Drishyam 2 (₹15.50 crore). However, it is still expected to remain just behind Total Dhamaal, which debuted with ₹16.50 crore in 2019.

Ensemble Cast Returns

Directed by Indra Kumar, Dhamaal 4 features an ensemble cast including Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Jaaved Jaaferi, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Upendra Limaye, Anjali Anand, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Esha Gupta and Vijay Patkar.

The comedy entertainer releases in theatres on July 10, with trade expecting the film’s performance over the opening weekend to determine whether it can match the box-office success of its predecessors.
