Dhamaal 4 Box Office Collection Day 2: Ajay Devgn’s Comedy Records Strong Jump, Reaches Rs 36.5 Crore

Ajay Devgn’s Dhamaal 4 witnessed a healthy jump at the box office on its second day, giving the comedy entertainer a strong boost after a steady opening. Riding on positive weekend footfall and the popularity of the franchise, the film has collected an estimated Rs 36.50 crore in India within its first two days.

According to early estimates, the Indra Kumar directorial earned around Rs 22.50 crore on Saturday, a significant rise from its Rs 14 crore opening-day collection on Friday. The strong Day 2 performance has put the film in a comfortable position heading into Sunday, traditionally the biggest day of the opening weekend.

Released on July 10, Dhamaal 4 arrived in cinemas alongside Hollywood animated feature Moana. Despite the competition, the comedy has managed to attract family audiences, with the franchise’s loyal fan base contributing to the weekend growth.

If the film maintains its momentum on Sunday, it is expected to comfortably cross the Rs 50-crore mark during its opening weekend.

Star-Studded Cast Returns

The fourth instalment of the popular Dhamaal franchise reunites several familiar faces. Ajay Devgn leads the cast as Guddu, while Riteish Deshmukh plays Lallan. Arshad Warsi and Jaaved Jaaferi reprise their fan-favourite roles as Adi and Manav, whose comic partnership has been one of the biggest attractions of the series.

The ensemble cast also includes Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Anjali Anand, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Vijay Patkar and Upendra Limaye in pivotal roles.

A Treasure Hunt Filled With Chaos

The film revolves around Guddu, Lallan, Adi, Manav and their quirky companions as they embark on a frantic search for the hidden treasure of Shaitaan Singh. Packed with slapstick humour, comic misunderstandings and over-the-top adventures, Dhamaal 4 stays true to the formula that made the franchise a favourite among Bollywood comedy lovers.

The film has been produced by T-Series Films, Panorama Studios, Devgn Films, Maruti International and Anand Pandit Motion Pictures.

The soundtrack has been composed by Rohansh Pandit and Abeer Pandit, while Amar Mohile has scored the background music. The album features songs such as Chatni, Qeher and Saree, the latter being a recreated version inspired by Sanju Rathod’s popular track Gulabi Sadi.

In its review, News18 Showsha noted that while the film relies on a simple treasure-hunt storyline stretched over a lengthy runtime, it delivers the trademark slapstick comedy and ensemble humour that fans of the Dhamaal franchise have come to expect.
