Seven devotees were killed and more than 10 others injured after a stampede broke out at the Ashok Dham Temple in Bihar’s Lakhisarai district on Monday.
The incident occurred as a large number of devotees gathered at the temple to offer prayers on the third Monday of the holy Shravan month. Panic reportedly spread through the crowd after an electric wire fell, triggering the stampede.
