The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has awarded the commercial and TV production rights for the upcoming T20I series against India to Pakistan-based TransGroup, a company associated with the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The ACB had announced the commercial and broadcast partners alongside the series schedule on August 12. According to the board, TransGroup will act as its Global Media Rights Syndication Partner, while TPT360 has been named the Media Production Partner. FanCode will handle the official streaming rights in India, while Vany remains the ACB’s long-term clothing partner.
Afghanistan, India Set for Three-Match T20I Series
The upcoming series will be significant for Afghanistan as it marks the first bilateral event between India and Afghanistan to be hosted by the ACB, despite all three matches being played in India.
Afghanistan has regularly hosted its home fixtures outside the country due to the absence of international cricket facilities at home. India and the UAE have served as the team’s primary overseas venues in recent years.
The three-match T20I series will begin on September 13, with the second game scheduled for September 15 and the final match on September 17. The fixtures will further strengthen the cricketing ties between the two teams, who have met frequently across formats in recent years.
Afghanistan last toured India in June 2026 for a multi-format series comprising a one-off Test and three ODIs. India secured a 3-0 clean sweep in the ODI series, with matches played in Dharamsala, Lucknow and Chennai.
The teams last faced each other in a bilateral T20I series in January 2024, when India completed a 3-0 victory. The final match in Bengaluru produced a remarkable finish, with both sides scoring 212 before India prevailed in the second Super Over.
