Rajpal Yadav Remembers Mushtaq Khan, Reveals Their Final Meeting Two Hours Before His Death

Actor Rajpal Yadav has shared an emotional account of his final meeting with actor Mushtaq Khan, revealing that they spoke and shook hands just hours before Mushtaq’s death.

Mushtaq Khan, known for his work in films including Welcome, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and Stree 2, died at the age of 56 after battling cancer. His death prompted an outpouring of tributes from colleagues and fans across social media.

RAJPAL YADAV REMEMBERS HIS FINAL MEETING WITH MUSHTAQ

On Thursday, Rajpal shared a photograph of Mushtaq on Instagram and recalled visiting him in hospital earlier that day.

“This afternoon I went to meet Mushtaq Bhai, talked to him; he saw me, shook my hand and was listening to all our conversations and reacting to them,” Rajpal wrote.

The actor said he was struggling to come to terms with the fact that Mushtaq was no longer alive despite having met him only hours earlier.

“I still can’t believe that the person I met two hours ago, the person I shook hands with, is no longer among us,” he added.

Rajpal described Mushtaq as a popular actor and paid tribute to his friend, saying his memory and contribution would remain.

Rajpal had initially posted a video from the hospital visit but later removed it and shared a photograph instead. The deleted video was subsequently circulated by a social media user. In the footage, Rajpal can be seen holding Mushtaq’s hand and speaking to him as the actor lay on a hospital bed. Rajpal appeared to reassure him that he would recover.

SUNNY DEOL ALSO PAYS TRIBUTE

Sunny Deol was among the other actors who remembered Mushtaq following his death.

Sharing a photograph on Instagram, Sunny described him as “a nice human being and a fine actor” and recalled having fond memories of him. He also offered his condolences to Mushtaq’s family and wished them strength during the difficult period.

MUSHTAQ KHAN’S DEATH

Mushtaq had been undergoing treatment for cancer and was admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital in critical condition. He was reportedly receiving treatment in the ICU before his death on Thursday evening.

His business partner Shivam confirmed the news to HT City, saying Mushtaq died at around 7 pm.

According to Shivam, Mushtaq had previously been diagnosed with lung cancer and had recovered, but the disease returned about eight days before his death. He was subsequently hospitalised and was reportedly in the advanced stage of the illness.

A CAREER SPANNING MORE THAN THREE DECADES

Mushtaq Khan made his screen debut with Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyon Aata Hai in 1980 and went on to build a career spanning more than three decades.

He appeared in numerous Hindi films, including Welcome, Aashiqui, Mujhse Shaadi Karoge and Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, among many others.

His performances across films and television earned him recognition as a familiar supporting actor in the Hindi entertainment industry.
