Jailer 2 Song Bindaas: Nora Fatehi Stars in Rajinikanth Film’s Second Dance Number

The makers of Jailer 2 released the film’s fourth song, Bindaas, on Wednesday evening, with Nora Fatehi featuring in the dance number.

Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the track marks the second dance song in the Rajinikanth-starrer after Ala Bolelo, which featured Shamna Kasim, also known as Poorna.

Sun Pictures, the production house behind Jailer 2, unveiled Bindaas on Wednesday with the caption, “Time to go mad with #Bindaas. It’s out now!”

The four-minute track has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who also lends his voice alongside Deepthi Suresh. Super Subu has penned the lyrics, which include both Tamil and Hindi.

The song’s video features Nora Fatehi performing on stage in a gold outfit with fringe, surrounded by a troupe of dancers. Rajinikanth also makes a brief appearance in the video.

Jailer 2’s two dance numbers spark debate online

The release of Bindaas has triggered mixed reactions online, with several social media users questioning the inclusion of two dance numbers in the film.

Some users criticised the makers for relying on such songs, while others questioned whether a Rajinikanth film needed multiple “item songs”. One X user wrote, “One more item song?? But why da?? Don’t you guys trust the Superstar??”

Another comment questioned the portrayal of women in such songs, saying that Tamil cinema continues to depict women “solely as sexual objects.”

However, the song also received positive reactions, particularly for Nora’s performance. One social media user compared it favourably with the earlier Jailer songs Kaavaalaa and Monica, calling Bindaas the stronger track.

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 is the sequel to the 2023 blockbuster Jailer. Rajinikanth returns in the lead role, along with Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Mirnaa and Rithvik.

The sequel also features SJ Suryah, Mithun Chakraborty, Vidya Balan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Anna Rajan and Jatin Sarna. Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar are also expected to make cameo appearances, similar to their roles in the first film.

Jailer 2 is scheduled to release in theatres on October 15.
