Sanjay Dutt Applauds 21-Year-Old Producer as ‘Hanuman Ansh’ Surpasses ₹435 Crore Worldwide
A film that began its box office journey with earnings of just ₹10 lakh on opening day has emerged as a major success, reportedly collecting more than ₹435 crore worldwide. The remarkable performance of Hanuman Ansh has now drawn appreciation from Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who praised its 21-year-old producer, Anupriya Nagar.
Sanjay recently took to Instagram to congratulate the young producer, expressing admiration for her achievement at such an early stage of her career. The actor also assured her of his continued support for her future ventures.
Sharing a photograph with Anupriya, Sanjay highlighted the significance of her accomplishment in the film industry.
“I’ve seen films come and go, and some make history. But what you’ve achieved for @hanumanansh at just 21 is truly remarkable! @anupriyanagar2709,” he wrote.
The actor further commended her determination and ability to bring people together to turn a modest production into a widely discussed film.
“It takes passion to turn a small film into something so big, and the way you’ve brought people together, with everyone’s blessings, is outstanding!” he added.
Concluding his message on an encouraging note, Sanjay expressed pride in the producer’s success and pledged to stand by her in her upcoming projects.
“God bless you, bachcha. I’m so proud of you and will always stand by you in all your projects. Your story has only just begun,” he said.
What Is ‘Hanuman Ansh’ About?
Written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, Hanuman Ansh is inspired by his book Divine Detour: That Changed My Life. The film centres on the life and spiritual teachings of Neeb Karori Baba, widely known as Neem Karoli Baba, a revered spiritual figure and devotee of Lord Hanuman.
Shobhinaw Satyaa plays the lead role. His portrayal has received attention for its understated approach, with an emphasis on simplicity and restraint rather than exaggerated expressions or dramatic mannerisms.
The film’s spiritual subject and word-of-mouth appeal have helped it connect with audiences, allowing it to build momentum well beyond its modest opening.
From a ₹10 Lakh Opening to a ₹435 Crore Worldwide Run
Released on August 7, 2026, Hanuman Ansh reportedly had a production budget of around ₹2 crore. Its initial box office performance offered little indication of the success that would follow, as the film collected approximately ₹10 lakh on its first day.
Even after two weeks in theatres, its reported collections stood at around ₹1.5 crore. However, the film began gaining traction in its third week, as audience recommendations encouraged more people to watch it.
Social media discussions and positive word of mouth gradually helped increase footfall in cinemas. The steady growth in collections eventually transformed the small-budget production into one of the notable box office success stories of 2026.
By mid-October, the film had reportedly accumulated more than ₹395.83 crore in domestic gross collections. Its worldwide earnings have since crossed ₹435 crore, while its Indian collections are approaching the ₹400 crore mark.
The film is reportedly among the biggest Indian box office hits of 2026, ranking behind Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
Sanjay Dutt’s Praise Adds to the Film’s Spotlight
Beyond its reported box office numbers, Hanuman Ansh has attracted attention for the scale of its success relative to its production budget. Sanjay Dutt’s public appreciation has brought additional visibility to Anupriya Nagar, whose role as a young producer has become a talking point.
His message also offered encouragement to an emerging industry professional, recognising the effort involved in taking a relatively small film to a much wider audience.
With worldwide collections reportedly exceeding ₹435 crore, Hanuman Ansh has made a striking journey from a subdued opening to a major commercial success.
