Telangana CM Confirms Kavya Maran-Anirudh Wedding, Receives Invitation to Reception

Kavya Maran and Anirudh Ravichander’s Wedding Reception Set for November 21; Telangana CM Invited

Sunrisers Hyderabad co-owner Kavya Maran and popular music composer Anirudh Ravichander are at the centre of fresh wedding buzz after the Telangana Chief Minister’s Office confirmed details of their upcoming wedding reception in Chennai.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has received an invitation to the reception from Kavya’s parents, Sun Group chairman Kalanithi Maran and his wife, Kavery Maran. The event is scheduled to take place on November 21.

According to a post shared by the Telangana CMO on X, the Marans met Revanth Reddy at his residence in Jubilee Hills to invite him to the family occasion.

“Sun Group Chairman Shri Kalanithi Maran and his wife, Smt. Kavery Maran, met Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy at his residence in Jubilee Hills and invited him to the wedding reception of their daughter, Kavya Maran,” the post stated.

The CMO also confirmed that the reception of Kavya Maran and Anirudh Ravichander will be held in Chennai on November 21.

While the reception date has been officially announced, reports suggesting that the couple will marry in Greece on November 11 have not been independently confirmed. The announcement has nevertheless intensified public interest in the pair’s reported relationship.

Anirudh Previously Dismissed Wedding Rumours

Speculation about a possible relationship between Kavya Maran and Anirudh Ravichander has circulated for some time. However, the composer had previously rejected marriage rumours in June 2025.

Responding to claims about his alleged wedding plans with Kavya, Anirudh wrote on X, “Marriage ah? lol .. Chill out guys. Please stop spreading rumours.”

The latest announcement from the Telangana CMO has brought the reception plans into the public domain, although the couple have not independently issued a detailed statement about their wedding ceremony.

Kavya Maran’s Prominent Role in the IPL

Kavya Maran, daughter of Kalanithi Maran, is closely associated with Sunrisers Hyderabad, the Indian Premier League franchise owned by the Sun Group. Her regular presence at matches and animated reactions from the stands have made her a familiar face among cricket fans.

Anirudh Ravichander, meanwhile, is a leading Indian film composer known for his popular soundtracks across Tamil and other Indian-language cinema. His projects include music for major star-led films, and he continues to be a prominent name in the entertainment industry.
