The callers, using several mobile numbers traced to locations between Bihar and Mumbai, reportedly demanded money and warned him against sharing a stage with actor Salman Khan.

Two Complaints Filed After Fresh Threats

According to an IANS report, Pawan Singh has filed two complaints with the Mumbai Police following back-to-back extortion threats invoking the Bishnoi gang. Both complaints have been transferred to the Anti-Extortion Cell of the Mumbai Crime Branch, which has begun a detailed probe into the source of the calls.

Investigators say one of the messages specifically cautioned Pawan against appearing in an event with Salman Khan, warning of “serious consequences” if he went ahead. Similar threatening calls and messages were also received by members of his team, indicating a coordinated effort to intimidate the Bhojpuri star.

Pawan Singh Likely to Record Statement

With the case now registered, Pawan Singh and his associates are expected to meet Mumbai Crime Branch officials to give statements and share further evidence. Police are currently analysing call data records and digital traces to identify those behind the extortion attempt.

Background: Recent Jyoti Singh Controversy

The fresh threat episode comes close on the heels of the controversy involving Pawan’s second wife, Jyoti Singh. In October, she had released a video alleging she was stopped from entering his Lucknow residence and detained by police outside, claiming there was an FIR against her.

Her emotional video, in which she broke down and expressed distress, quickly went viral. Pawan Singh later denied her allegations, saying he had invited her into the house respectfully and that the video did not show the complete picture.

Professional Front: TV Appearance Next

Despite the ongoing threats and the police investigation, Pawan Singh is continuing with his work schedule. He is slated to appear as a guest on the upcoming season of the cooking-reality show Laughter Chefs Season 3, even as his security arrangements are reportedly being strengthened.
