Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab is a fantasy horror comedy starring Prabhas in the lead.
The film also features Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal and Riddhi Kumar in key roles. Ahead of its theatrical release, here is a look at how Prabhas’ last five films have performed at the box office.
Kalki 2898 AD
Prabhas was last seen in Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi mythological epic Kalki 2898 AD, which also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani. The film received mixed to positive reviews from critics and audiences.
According to Sacnilk, Kalki 2898 AD has collected ₹646.31 crore at the domestic box office. The makers have already confirmed work on the second instalment.
Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire
Directed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar marked Prabhas’ debut in Kannada cinema. The action drama also starred Shruti Haasan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in pivotal roles. The film opened to strong numbers and emerged as one of Prabhas’ better-performing films in recent years.
Adipurush
Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush was one of the most ambitious projects in Indian cinema. Despite massive expectations and a star cast that included Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan, the mythological epic failed to impress audiences and was widely termed a box office disappointment.
Radhe Shyam
The romantic drama Radhe Shyam, directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, starred Prabhas opposite Pooja Hegde. Released in multiple languages, the film also featured Bhagyashree, Sachin Khedekar and Kunal Roy Kapoor.
Despite high expectations, the film underperformed commercially, earning around ₹104 crore and was declared a box office flop.
Saaho
Released in 2019 after the success of Baahubali: The Conclusion, Saaho starred Prabhas alongside Shraddha Kapoor. Directed by Sujeeth, the action thriller received mixed reviews but registered strong openings due to the actor’s post-Baahubali popularity.
