Aishwarya Rai Returns to Mumbai After Paris Fashion Week, Tells Paparazzi: ‘Yeh Sab Bandh Kijiye…’

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan returned to Mumbai in the early hours of Wednesday, September 30, following her appearance at Paris Fashion Week.

The actress was spotted at the Mumbai airport, where she briefly interacted with photographers before heading towards her waiting car. Aishwarya greeted the paparazzi with a smile and waved at them as she made her way out of the airport. She also stopped to pose for photographs and interacted with fans.

At one point, she appeared to ask the photographers to wrap up the interaction, saying, “Aao group mein. Chaliye, yeh sab bandh kijiye.” She then continued towards her car.

For her journey back to Mumbai, Aishwarya opted for a casual look, wearing a long trench coat over a top and pairing it with flared jeans.

Aishwarya had travelled to Paris to attend L’Oréal Paris’ annual fashion show on September 28. The event was held at Place Joffre, near the Eiffel Tower and École Militaire.

She walked the runway in a dramatic black couture outfit and debuted a red hair colour, which became one of the highlights of her appearance. The show also featured singer Celine Dion, who made a surprise appearance and closed the event with a performance.

Aishwarya was last seen on the big screen in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan II, which released in April 2023.

The Tamil historical epic, based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s acclaimed novel, featured Aishwarya in the dual roles of Nandini and Oomai Rani. The film also starred Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, Sobhita Dhulipala and Aishwarya Lekshmi.

The second instalment continued the story of the Chola dynasty and followed Arulmozhi Varman amid political conflicts within the royal family. A.R. Rahman composed the music, while Ravi Varman served as the cinematographer.
