Ameesha Patel has joined the growing chorus of celebrities celebrating the success of Dhurandhar, reserving special praise for her Humraaz co-star Akshaye Khanna.

On X (formerly Twitter), she highlighted Khanna’s ability to let his performances — rather than publicity — speak for themselves.

In her post, Ameesha wrote, “If you want to trend on social media, talk about AKSHAYE KHANNA. If you want your film to run, take AKSHAYE KHANNA… seems like Brand AKSHAYE has finally opened the eyes of all who were blind for years. Proud of you, Akshu, for slapping everyone with your performances, not PR.”

Her message quickly went viral, with fans applauding Khanna’s recent choices and consistent screen presence. The actor has enjoyed a remarkable streak with back-to-back hits, including Chhaava and now Dhurandhar, cementing his reputation as one of Bollywood’s most dependable performers.

Dhurandhar Continues Dream Run at the Box Office
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar has become one of the biggest Hindi blockbusters of recent times, ensuring Bollywood ends 2025 on a high. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film has shown remarkable box office stamina, particularly in its second week, when collections surged rather than dipped.

After a roaring second weekend, the Ranveer Singh-starrer passed the crucial second Monday test with ease, adding an estimated ₹30 crore net in India on Day 11. Occupancy remained strong across morning, afternoon, and evening shows — an impressive feat for a big-ticket release deep into its theatrical run.

The second Sunday proved pivotal, minting ₹58 crore net and closing the weekend with a domestic total of ₹143.50 crore — a rare 40 percent jump compared to the opening weekend. With Monday’s figures, Dhurandhar now stands at approximately ₹380 crore net in India, surpassing Dangal’s domestic Hindi collection of ₹374.43 crore and securing a significant milestone in all-time box office rankings.

Dhurandhar features Ranveer Singh as Hamza, an Indian spy infiltrating Pakistan’s Lyari region to dismantle ISI-backed terror networks. The film has been lauded for its gritty narrative and action sequences, with standout performances from Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, and Rakesh Bedi. Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal also play key roles, enriching the ensemble.
