Ananya Panday recently reflected on the lessons she has learned about love and relationships, admitting that in the past she often felt the need to shrink parts of herself to make her partner shine.

Ananya Panday on her past relationships

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar India, the actor shared that she once struggled with being alone and preferred having her partner, parents or friends around her at all times. However, living by herself changed that perspective and helped her appreciate personal space.

She said the experience also reshaped her understanding of romantic relationships.

“I used to want the other person to shine more than me. At the cost of putting myself down or making myself smaller, I’d change myself a lot to become more like the other person. I wish I had learned earlier not to let someone change me so much. I felt like I had to be less of something, and that’s something I wish I had realised sooner,” Ananya said.

Her past relationships

Ananya previously dated actor Ishaan Khatter, though the couple eventually broke up. Ishaan later confirmed their split on Koffee With Karan in 2022, expressing hope that they would remain friends.

She was later rumoured to be in a relationship with Aditya Roy Kapur for nearly two years. While the two never publicly confirmed their relationship, pictures of their vacations together often circulated online. Reports in May 2024 said the couple had parted ways but remained cordial.

More recently, Ananya has been linked to former model Walker Blanco. The two were first spotted together during the wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in 2024, where she reportedly introduced him as her partner. However, neither has confirmed the relationship publicly.

Upcoming projects

On the work front, Ananya was last seen in Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, produced by Dharma Productions. She will next appear in the romantic drama Chaand Mera Dil alongside Lakshya Lalwani. Backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the film is scheduled to release on May 8, 2026.

She also has the second season of the web series Call Me Bae in the pipeline.
