Anthropic CEO’s Wife Reportedly Sought Epstein Investment for ‘Luxury Porn’ Venture

Cami Clark, wife and strategic adviser to Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, reportedly sought investment from convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein for a business she described.

As a venture producing adult entertainment for women, according to The Wall Street Journal and emails contained in the Epstein files.

Clark was introduced to Epstein in March 2011 by literary agent John Brockman, who suggested that they meet for dinner. Emails show Clark subsequently shared details about the venture, including its funding requirements and material related to its planned film projects.

In one email, Clark sent Epstein the script and treatment for four proposed films, describing the material as potentially “NSFW”. About a year later, she again contacted Epstein to ask whether he would be interested in investing in businesses she was developing with a colleague. There is no indication in the emails that Epstein provided funding. In a separate exchange, Epstein reportedly responded that he could not invest in a television project involving sexual content.

Clark also invited Epstein to a housewarming party in July 2012, although the available emails do not indicate that the two met again in person.

Who Is Cami Clark?

Clark has been described as a sounding board and strategic adviser to Amodei, despite not holding an official position at Anthropic. She has reportedly accompanied her husband to major business and technology events and interacted with investors at high-profile gatherings.

Clark previously served as a strategic adviser to Amodei when he joined OpenAI in 2016. She also introduced him to former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, who became an important early supporter of Anthropic after meeting Amodei and his colleagues.

Amodei, his sister Daniela and several colleagues left OpenAI in 2020 to establish Anthropic. Schmidt subsequently participated in the company’s $124 million Series A funding round announced in 2021.

Clark was born in Nevada in 1979 and married Amodei in 2022. She had previously been in a relationship with Schmidt.
