Former Bollywood actress Celina Jaitly has opened up about the circumstances surrounding her separation from husband Peter Haag, revealing that she was served a divorce notice under.

The pretext of receiving a gift for their 15th wedding anniversary. She also claimed that, despite being granted joint custody, she has been denied communication with her three children.

In an Instagram post, Celina wrote, “I lost my children the day I chose to leave Austria to protect my dignity, my children & my brother. This is for all the men & women who reached out with their stories of abusive marriages. You are not alone.”

She described leaving Austria in the early hours of 11 October 2025, with the assistance of neighbours, citing “systematic oppression and abuse.” She added that she returned to India with minimal funds and has had to approach the courts to access her own property, which she purchased before her marriage.

Celina highlighted ongoing challenges with her children. “Despite joint custody and a subsisting order of the Austrian Family Court, I am presently denied any communication with my three children and I am heartbroken,” she said. She added that her access has been repeatedly obstructed, including exposure to selective media narratives and pressure on the children to speak against her.

She further alleged that in early September, her husband served her the divorce notice at a local post office under the guise of collecting an anniversary gift. “Thereafter, I repeatedly and legally sought an amicable separation in good faith, prioritising the welfare of the children. These efforts were met with demands relating to my premarital assets and conditions that undermined my freedom and dignity even after divorce,” Celina wrote.

Concluding her post, she reflected on the personal impact of the ordeal: “My entire world was snatched from me in one moment.”
