Dense Fog Causes Multiple Pile-Ups on Haryana Highways, Several Injured
Early Sunday, dense fog led to two major multi-vehicle collisions on Haryana highways, sharply reducing visibility across the state.
In Hisar, around 8 am at Dhiktana Moda on NH-52, a chain collision involved two Haryana Roadways buses, a dumper truck, a car, and a motorcycle. The accident started when a Kaithal Roadways bus rammed into a dumper truck, followed by another state transport bus crashing into the vehicles ahead. A car and a motorcycle later became part of the pile-up. Hundreds of passengers were affected, but only the motorcycle rider sustained injuries and was hospitalised.
Meanwhile, on NH-352 in Rewari, three to four buses collided in another fog-related accident, with the injured taken to nearby hospitals.
Haryana has been experiencing a severe cold wave, with temperatures between 4°C and 6°C, causing dense fog and dangerous driving conditions.
