Encounter underway between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar; contact established

An encounter is in progress between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district, the Indian Army’s White Knight Corps said.

In a statement, the Corps said its troops, along with Jammu and Kashmir Police and the CRPF, established contact with terrorists during a joint operation in the Passerkut area of Kishtwar. The exchange of fire is ongoing, and the area has been cordoned off.
