Gold, Silver Prices Climb on Feb 25: Check 22K & 24K Rates in Your City

Gold and silver prices edged higher in early trade on February 25, supported by firm spot demand and positive global cues.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures rose 0.31% to trade at Rs 1,60,460 per 10 grams in the morning session. Silver outperformed the yellow metal, climbing 2.12% to Rs 2,66,263 per kilogram.

In the physical market, 24-carat gold in Mumbai was quoted at Rs 1,61,890 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,48,400 per 10 grams. These prices exclude GST and making charges, which vary by jeweller.

Market participants noted that bullion prices have remained volatile in recent weeks. Gold had surged to record levels above Rs 1,80,000 last month, while silver scaled an all-time high of Rs 4,20,000 before witnessing profit-booking.
