Harshvardhan Rane Thanks Fans for Backing Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat and Thamma, Declares ‘Nepotism Khatm Kar Diya’

Actor Harshvardhan Rane is celebrating a major Diwali win as his recently released film Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat continues to win hearts. After the lukewarm reception of Sanam Teri Kasam, this success has been a much-needed boost for the actor. The film has reportedly earned over Rs 34 crore in just four days, despite limited theatre slots, and Rane recently traveled to Gujarat to personally thank fans for their support — not only for his film but also for Ayushmann Khurrana’s Thamma, which released alongside his.

In a video circulating on social media, Harshvardhan, standing alongside co-star Sonam Bajwa, expressed his gratitude to audiences. He said:
“This Diwali, you supported the films of two outsiders. Ayushmann Khurrana’s film has released along with mine. Watch both films and enjoy them. This sends a strong message — aap logon ne akele poora ka poora Bollywood se nepotism hi khatm kar diya (you people alone finished nepotism from the entire Bollywood).”

He also encouraged fans to bring their family members to watch the films:
“I hope you like it. And those of you in your family who haven’t seen it yet, please come once again with them.”

Fans have responded enthusiastically online, praising Rane’s supportive attitude. Comments included:

“Pehla banda jo dusro ko bhi support me bola”

“Harshvardhan Rane mast hero h, inki saari movie hamesha blockbuster ho, yahi dua h, lovely movie”

“Dil jeet liya, that’s why I like Harshvardhan”
