PM Modi Accuses RJD of ‘Arming Youth’, Says NDA Is Equipping Them With Laptops and Opportunities.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched a sharp attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and its allies, accusing them of trying to turn Bihar’s youth into “goons” instead of empowering them with education and technology. Addressing rallies in Sitamarhi and Bettiah ahead of the state’s second phase of polling, Modi contrasted the NDA’s development-focused agenda with what he called the RJD’s “culture of crime”.

“The NDA is giving laptops, computers, and sports equipment to the youth, while the RJD is talking about giving them pistols,” Modi said, alleging that the opposition was encouraging a return to Bihar’s era of lawlessness.

“These people want to make their own children chief ministers and ministers, but for your children, they want to make rangdaars (goons). Bihar will never accept this,” he declared. “Jungle raj means pistols, cruelty, corruption, and enmity.”

‘RJD’s Campaign Songs Will Make You Shiver’

Stepping up his attack, Modi referenced a viral video from an RJD campaign event showing a 10-year-old boy speaking about pistols and “rangdari” (extortion) on stage in the presence of an RJD candidate.

“If you listen to the RJD’s campaign songs and slogans, you’ll shiver,” the Prime Minister said. “What they want for Bihar’s children is visible in their campaign. Innocent kids are being made to say they want to become gangsters.”

He asserted that Bihar today has “no place for those who say ‘hands up’,” declaring that the state’s youth should be “dreamers of startups, not wielders of kattas (country-made guns).” Unveiling a new slogan, he said: “Nai chahiye katta sarkar, phir ek baar NDA sarkar” (We don’t want a gun-wielding government; we want the NDA again).

‘High Voter Turnout a Shock to Opposition’

Modi also lauded the record turnout of 65.08% in the first phase of polling on November 6, calling it a “strong message” from voters. “You have given the opposition a big shock. They are losing sleep,” he said, adding that the high participation reflected “trust in the NDA’s development agenda.”

Reiterating his government’s focus on growth and stability, the Prime Minister said Bihar had moved beyond the “dark days of jungle raj.”

“Jungle raj means katta, kroorta, katuta, kusanskar, and corruption,” he said. “As soon as it came, Bihar’s downfall began. The RJD finished all development and now spreads safed jhooth (white lies) about progress.”

The Prime Minister, who has addressed nearly a dozen rallies in Bihar so far, urged voters to ensure another mandate for the NDA in the second and final phase on November 11. Results will be declared on November 14.
