Prabhas to juggle Kalki 2 and Spirit shoots, Sai Pallavi likely to join Kalki 2
Prabhas is gearing up for a busy February as he prepares to work simultaneously on two of his highly anticipated projects – Kalki 2 and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit.
Kalki 2 shoot begins
According to Deccan Chronicle, principal photography for Kalki 2 will commence in February 2026. The sequel to Kalki: 2898 AD will once again be directed by Nag Ashwin, following the success of the first installment.
After Deepika Padukone’s exit from the film last year, reports suggest Sai Pallavi may step in as her replacement, though nothing has been officially confirmed. Padukone had left the project citing concerns over work conditions and fee negotiations, which she later spoke about in an interview with CNBC-TV18, emphasizing her preference for handling such matters privately.
Spirit resumes
In addition to Kalki 2, Prabhas is expected to resume shooting for Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, which began late last year. The film stars Triptii Dimri, alongside Vivek Oberoi and Prakash Raj, and is scheduled for a worldwide release on March 5, 2027. Interestingly, Spirit was also initially set to feature Deepika Padukone before her exit in 2025.
Prabhas’ fans can look forward to an action-packed 2026, with the actor simultaneously juggling two major projects that promise to be highlights of his career.
