Pregnant Esha Deol Re-Marries Bharat Takhtani in Intimate Ceremony; Hema Malini, Jaya Bachchan Lead Rituals
Bharat Takhtani Goes Public With New Relationship After Split From Esha Deol.
Esha Deol’s ex-husband, businessman Bharat Takhtani, has made his new relationship official. On Instagram, Bharat shared a romantic photo with Meghna Lakhani, where the two are seen holding each other close. He captioned it, “Welcome to the family, it’s official.” Meghna reposted the image and later uploaded another picture with Bharat, giving followers a glimpse into their bond.
Marriage and Separation With Esha Deol
Bharat was married to actor Esha Deol for 11 years. The couple wed in 2012 but parted ways in 2024. In a joint statement, they described the separation as “mutual and amicable,” stressing that the well-being of their daughters, Radhya and Miraya, would remain their top priority.
“Through this shift in our lives, the best interests and welfare of our two children is and will be of utmost importance to us. We’d appreciate our privacy is respected,” the statement read.
Their elder daughter, Radhya, was born in October 2017. Around the same time, the couple renewed their wedding vows during a traditional Sindhi Godh Bharai ceremony at ISKCON Temple, Juhu. The intimate ritual included three pheras around the sacred fire and was attended by close friends and family, including Jaya Bachchan, Rashmi Thackeray, and Dimple Kapadia. Hema Malini and Jaya Bachchan also participated in the tel kumkum ritual with the couple.
Dharmendra’s Reported Wish
Following the separation, reports suggested that Esha’s father, veteran actor Dharmendra, hoped the two might reconsider their decision.
“No parents can be happy seeing their children’s family being broken. Even Dharmendra ji is a father and one can understand his pain. It’s not that he is against his daughter’s decision, but he wants her to rethink over it,” a source told Bollywood Life.
The insider added that Dharmendra’s concern stemmed from the impact of separation on children:
“He is indeed sad, and that’s the reason he wants them to reconsider. Esha and Bharat have two daughters, very close to their grandparents. Separation affects the kids badly, and hence Dharamji feels if the marriage can be saved, it should.”
