Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa have welcomed their first child, a baby girl. The couple shared the happy news on Saturday morning through a joint statement, revealing that their daughter arrived on the same day as their fourth wedding anniversary.

“We are over the moon. God has blessed us with a baby girl,” they wrote, calling her arrival “the greatest blessing” on their special day.

As soon as the announcement surfaced, wishes poured in from friends, colleagues and fans. Varun Dhawan commented, “❤️ Welcome to the club guys ❤️.” Soon-to-be mom Bharti Singh wrote, “Congratulations 🥂🧿🙌🏼 beautiful journey ❤️.”

Actor Ali Fazal expressed his joy, writing, “Oh my godddd! So, so happy to hear this. Congratulations, you two beautiful people.” Singer Neeti Mohan added, “Many, many congratulations! Can’t wait to see you all and the little angel.” Neha Dhupia also chimed in with, “Congratulations, you guys. Welcome to the best hood… parenthood ❤️.”

Patralekhaa on Her Pregnancy

Earlier, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Patralekhaa had opened up about her pregnancy journey. “We are super excited. The baby’s coming, and professionally too, our first production is set to release soon. It’s an exciting phase,” she said.

Calling pregnancy a source of “light” in her year, she shared how transformative the experience has been. “It’s a strange yet beautiful journey. Your body changes so much in nine months, and it can feel overwhelming knowing a new family member is on the way.”

A Decade-Long Love Story

Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa share one of Bollywood’s most cherished love stories. They first met over ten years ago, and their bond deepened while working on the 2014 film CityLights. Rajkummar has often mentioned that he felt she was “the one” from the moment he first saw her in an advertisement.

In October 2021, Rajkummar proposed in an intimate ceremony. The couple tied the knot a month later on November 15 in Chandigarh, in the presence of close family and friends. Patralekhaa chose a traditional red sari with a Bengali verse embroidered on her veil, while Rajkummar complemented her in an elegant ivory ensemble.

Their family now begins a new chapter with the arrival of their baby girl.
