There are weddings, and then there are moments that feel almost cinematic. The Haldi ceremony of Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda fell firmly into the latter.

Set amid the sweeping greenery of Mementos by ITC Hotels in Udaipur, the celebration began with tradition but quickly turned into a riot of colour—more Holi than Haldi. By the end, turmeric yellows had given way to splashes of red, orange, and pink, with the bride herself admitting the colours lingered long after the day was done.

The Bride: Understated Drama

Rashmika chose Anamika Khanna for the occasion, wearing a sage green one-shoulder lehenga that struck a rare balance between structure and softness. Intricate net layering and hand-embroidered florals in muted tones gave the outfit depth, while the asymmetric drape added a modern edge.

Against the vivid backdrop of marigolds and rose petals, the sage hue felt intentional—cool, calming, and quietly striking.

Her jewellery told a different story altogether: unapologetically maximal, with stacked gold bangles, ornate earrings, and a statement maang tikka. As petals fell around her, the moment felt less like a photograph and more like a painting in motion.

The Groom: Relaxed, Refined, Effortless

Vijay matched her aesthetic without mirroring it. Dressed in a blush pink embroidered kurta—also by Anamika Khanna—he leaned into soft elegance. The delicate floral work, paired with ivory churidars, kept the look fresh and unfussy.

Signature black sunglasses and minimal gold jewellery added just enough personality, making the look feel distinctly his.

Together, they were perfectly in sync—sage and blush, opulence and restraint—two styles that complemented rather than competed.

A Setting That Did the Most

The venue transformed the ceremony into something almost dreamlike. Draped canopies in yellow and peach, towering floral installations, and a palette drawn straight from a spring garden set the tone.

The standout moment was their arrival and exit: a flower-laden wooden boat gliding across a still lake, reflections doubling the spectacle.

And while the setting was breathtaking, the mood stayed playful. Rashmika later revealed she “won all the games” with her Team Bride—with Vijay quietly switching sides for the day.
