Kantara: Chapter 1 Surges Ahead of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari in Advance Bookings.
Fans of Rishab Shetty are eagerly awaiting the release of Kantara: Chapter 1, which has generated excitement across India and abroad. Following the trailer’s release, audiences praised its visuals, music, and story. Advance bookings for the film, scheduled to release on October 2, have already opened in Karnataka, the USA, and North India, with strong early response.
Strong Advance Booking Performance
Reports indicate that Kantara has sold around 7,200 tickets for opening day across major cinema chains including PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis. In comparison, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, starring Janhvi Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Rohit Saraf, Sanya Malhotra, and Maniesh Paul, has booked roughly 4,500 tickets in advance, giving Kantara an early edge.
Makers Demand Maximum Shows
Ahead of the release, Hombale Films has requested exhibitors to allocate maximum shows for Kantara in single-, two-, and three-screen cinemas, even alongside competing films. AA Films, the distributor, asked for all shows in single- and two-screen halls and 18 shows in three-screen multiplexes, a rare move in the industry.
About Kantara: Chapter 1
One of Hombale Films’ most ambitious projects, Kantara features music by B. Ajaneesh Loknath, cinematography by Arvind Kashyap, and production design by Vinesh Banglan. The film includes a large-scale war sequence shot over 45–50 days with 500 trained fighters and 3,000 extras across 25 acres. The movie will release in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Bengali, and English.

Directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Dharma Productions, the Hindi-language romantic comedy features an ensemble cast including Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, and Rohit Saraf, with supporting roles by Maniesh Paul and Akshay Oberoi. It releases on October 2, coinciding with Dussehra.
