Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Raj Nidimoru Celebrate Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha in Intimate Isha Ceremony.
Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru exchanged vows on December 1 in a serene, spiritual ceremony at the Isha Foundation in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The wedding followed the Linga Bhairavi Vivaha tradition and was attended only by close friends and family.
The couple opted for a low-key, deeply spiritual affair, with rituals beginning as early as 6:00 AM. Samantha shared glimpses of the ceremony on Instagram, while close friend Shilpa Reddy posted exclusive photos and videos.
A Sacred Ritual
The ceremony followed the Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha, an ancient ritual rooted in yogic tradition that symbolizes the union of partners at an elemental level. The venue was decorated with white flowers, pink roses, and baskets of blooms, with lamps and diyas adding a sacred glow.
Guests received vivah kanukalu (wedding gifts) including incense made from Isha flowers, a personal note from Sadhguru, handmade Indian chocolates, and a perfume from Samantha’s brand, Secret Alchemist.
In photos, Samantha and Raj were seen gazing at each other, garlands around their necks, capturing the ceremony’s intimate and spiritual essence. Shilpa, seated beside Samantha, described the event as “a beautiful Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha,” while she herself wore a kanchi cotton sari in leaf green with a red border, complemented by traditional South Indian temple jewellery.
Personal Background
Samantha was previously married to actor Naga Chaitanya (2017–2021) in a ceremony that blended Christian and Hindu traditions. Raj had earlier been married to Shhyamali De, with reports indicating their separation in 2022.
