‘Spirit’ Release Date Unchanged; Prabhas’ Film Set to Clash With Salman Khan’s SVC63 on Eid 2027

Salman Khan and Prabhas’ upcoming films were recently reported to be heading for an Eid 2027 box office clash.

But the makers of Spirit have now put an end to speculation surrounding the film’s release date. In April, Salman Khan announced that his upcoming film SVC63, which also stars Nayanthara and is directed by Vamshi Paidipally, will release in theatres during Eid 2027. Around the same period, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit, featuring Prabhas in the lead, was also associated with the festive release window.

This led to speculation that one of the two films could change its release date to avoid a major box office clash. Some recent reports even claimed that Spirit had been postponed. However, the makers have denied these reports and confirmed that the film remains scheduled for release on March 5, 2027.

Spirit Release Date Remains Unchanged

A T-Series spokesperson told Zoom that there has been no change to Spirit’s release plans. The spokesperson said the team is working according to schedule and is preparing for the film’s worldwide theatrical release on March 5, 2027.

This is not the first time the makers have had to clarify reports about a postponement. Similar rumours surfaced in May, following which T-Series had also confirmed that the Prabhas starrer would arrive on its announced date.

With Spirit now maintaining its March 5 release, the film will not be competing with Salman Khan’s SVC63 during Eid 2027.

Spirit marks the first collaboration between Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga and is among the most awaited upcoming Indian films. The project initially attracted attention after Deepika Padukone was reported to be part of the cast. However, she later exited the film following unsuccessful negotiations. Triptii Dimri was subsequently brought on board as the female lead, marking her debut in Telugu cinema.

The film also features Vivek Oberoi, Prakash Raj and Kanchana in important roles. Its first-look poster was unveiled on New Year 2026, showing Prabhas with a heavily wounded back covered in stitches and bandages, while Triptii Dimri was seen lighting his cigarette. The striking image quickly generated significant buzz among fans and on social media.
