Taiwan Expo 2025 Set to Transform India with Smart Tech, Sustainability, and Wellness at Bharat Mandapam

In a significant development for Taiwan-India trade relations, Taiwan Expo 2025 will take place from September 25–27 at Bharat Mandapam (Pragati Maidan), New Delhi. The event is poised to be a major platform for Taiwanese companies to showcase their innovations across Smart ManufacturingSmart TechnologyGreen Innovation, and Wellness—four critical sectors shaping the future of industries globally.

Among the 107 Taiwanese companies participating in this flagship event are Foxconn, the iPhone maker; TAISYS, a leader in drone production; and HOYA, a prominent name in the food and wellness sector. These industry giants, alongside numerous others, will display their latest products and technologies to strengthen Taiwan’s economic ties with India, one of the world’s fastest-growing markets.

A Strategic Move for Taiwan-India Business Ties

The Taiwan Expo 2025 comes on the heels of a record USD 10.6 billion bilateral trade between Taiwan and India in 2024. The event is set to further deepen the collaboration between both countries, with a particular focus on expanding Taiwanese brands’ market entry and establishing long-term supply chain partnerships.

Keven Cheng, Deputy Executive Director at TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council), underscored India’s strategic importance. Despite facing global supply-chain challenges and tariff headwinds, India’s vast domestic market, abundant talent pool, and strategic location continue to make it an indispensable manufacturing hub for Taiwanese enterprises.

“The Taiwan Expo provides an ideal platform for Taiwanese companies to tap into India’s growing market and explore local manufacturing and technology partnerships,” Cheng said.

Innovation Across Four Key Themes

The three-day expo will spotlight cutting-edge technologies across four core themes:

  1. Smart Manufacturing: Taiwanese companies will showcase their advanced manufacturing technologies, paving the way for collaborative solutions in automation, robotics, and precision engineering.

  2. Smart Technology: Exhibitors will present innovations in AIIoT, and cloud solutions, emphasizing Taiwan’s leadership in digital transformation.

  3. Green Innovation: With a global shift towards sustainability, Taiwan will highlight its green tech solutions in renewable energyeco-friendly manufacturing, and sustainable materials.

  4. Wellness Fiesta: The expo will feature wellness products and services, from plant-based foods to innovative healthcare solutions, aimed at improving quality of life.

Key Exhibitors and Their Innovations

A variety of Taiwanese firms will unveil their latest technologies and solutions:

  • Advantech will present industrial PCs that enable smarter manufacturing processes.

  • Zyxel will showcase its cutting-edge security routers and access-point solutions for enhanced connectivity.

  • Proscend Communications will feature its industrial IoT routers and switches, enabling next-gen digital transformations.

  • IPEVO will unveil video-collaboration devices, aimed at revolutionizing communication in the remote work era.

In a special highlight, TAISYS Technologies will debut a new drone, demonstrating Taiwan’s cross-domain innovation capabilities.

Furthermore, Foxconn, already expanding its footprint in India, will also be participating in the event, reinforcing its commitment to scaling operations in the region.

Focus on India’s Consumer Market: Taiwan Select Food Pavilion

In addition to tech and manufacturing, the Expo will tap into India’s vibrant consumer market. It will be held concurrently with World Food India, the country’s largest food exhibition. The Taiwan Select Food Pavilion will feature a range of food products, including:

  • A-Sha Foods’ premium air-dried noodles.

  • HOYA Next Meats’ plant-based jerky and meal kits.

  • DR. Diary Co. Ltd.’s instant boba milk tea kits.

These products represent Taiwan’s growing presence in India’s food sector, showcasing high-quality, innovative options that cater to India’s diverse consumer preferences.

Strengthening Local Operations and Market Linkages

This year’s Taiwan Expo will welcome first-time exhibitors entering the Indian market alongside established Taiwanese brands expanding their local operations. A wide spectrum of industries—electronics, machinery, telecom, mobility, energy, healthcare, retail, and F&B—are expected to engage with Taiwanese suppliers at the event.

Yu-Chi Chen, Executive Director of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre (TECC) in India, noted that Taiwan’s growing investment in India, now surpassing 250 companies, has strengthened the industrial value chain between the two nations. He highlighted that Taiwan’s expertise in areas like semiconductorselectronics manufacturing, and ICT has helped create a mutually reinforcing business ecosystem.

Taiwan Expo 2025 is more than just an exhibition; it’s a catalyst for new business deals, joint ventures, and long-term supply-chain collaborations.
