Toxic Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 5: Yash Film Inches Closer To ₹300 Crore

Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairly Tale for Grown-Ups opened to mixed reactions from critics and audiences, but its initial box-office performance exceeded expectations. However, the film has witnessed a steady decline in collections since its release, with viewers particularly pointing to its weak storyline despite its ambitious scale.

Toxic Worldwide Box Office Collection

According to trade tracker data, Toxic continues its theatrical run but has recorded a noticeable slowdown after its massive opening. The film collected ₹2 crore overseas on Day 5, taking its overseas gross to ₹29.25 crore.

With the latest figures, the gangster drama has accumulated ₹285.20 crore worldwide in five days. It now needs less than ₹15 crore to reach the ₹300 crore milestone.

In India, Toxic earned ₹23 crore net on Day 5 from 16,241 shows, recording an overall occupancy of 25.3%. Its five-day India net collection has now crossed ₹200 crore, standing at ₹214.10 crore.

The Day 5 collection represents an 8.5% decline from Saturday’s ₹25.15 crore. Interestingly, despite the lower earnings, the film’s occupancy improved slightly to 25.3% on Sunday from 24.3% on Saturday.

However, the number of shows has fallen sharply compared with the film’s opening day. Toxic had 24,579 shows on Day 1, compared with 16,241 on Day 5, indicating a significant reduction in theatrical screen availability.

With the film closing in on ₹300 crore worldwide, its performance in the coming days will determine whether it can maintain momentum or see its theatrical run slow further.
