Tilak Varma has once again found himself at the centre of dating rumours involving Telugu actor Sreeleela after a viral video featuring Suryakumar Yadav sparked fresh speculation on social media.
The clip, widely shared across Reddit, Instagram and X, appears to show Suryakumar teasing the young Mumbai Indians batter by calling him “in love” while Tilak walks through a hotel lobby wearing earphones. Though no names were mentioned in the video, fans quickly linked the comment to ongoing rumours involving Sreeleela.
However, a source close to the actor dismissed the speculation, stating that the rumours are “completely baseless” and that the two have never met or interacted.
How The Rumours Started
Speculation around Tilak Varma and Sreeleela first gained attention during the IPL season after reports claimed that Sreeleela’s mother, Dr Swarnalatha, was seen at a Mumbai Indians match against Punjab Kings in Dharamsala.
Soon after, social media users began connecting the appearance to Tilak. The rumours intensified further after fan accounts alleged that someone associated with Sreeleela’s team had been spotted wearing a jersey carrying Tilak’s name during another cricket match.
Online chatter also grew around unverified claims regarding their social media activity, including rumours that the two may have unfollowed each other.

The latest wave of discussion began after the video of Suryakumar and Tilak surfaced online.
In the clip, Tilak appears focused while walking through a hotel area after a match before Suryakumar jokingly comments about him being “in love.” The light-hearted moment quickly went viral, with many fans interpreting it as a reference to the Sreeleela rumours.
The speculation gained even more traction among younger cricket fans, as Tilak enjoys massive popularity online and is often described by fan pages as one of Indian cricket’s rising Gen Z stars.

While many social media users continued discussing the rumours, several Reddit users criticised the assumptions being made based on match appearances and viral clips.
Some argued that celebrities frequently attend IPL matches without any personal connection to players, pointing out that actors and public figures are regularly linked with cricketers without evidence.
