13-Year-Old Ayan Raj Smashes 327 off 134 Balls, Inspired by IPL Star Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
In a sensational display of batting prowess, 13-year-old Ayan Raj scored an unbeaten 327 runs off just 134 balls in a district-level cricket match in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. The young cricketer, representing Sanskriti Cricket Academy, hammered 22 sixes and 41 fours during his explosive innings in a 30-over match — with 296 of his runs coming from boundaries alone.
Ayan’s strike rate of 220.89 left spectators in awe and has brought him instant recognition, especially given his inspiration: close friend and IPL breakout star Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
The innings comes just weeks after 14-year-old Suryavanshi, playing for Rajasthan Royals, stunned cricket fans by scoring the fastest century by an Indian in IPL history — a 35-ball ton against Gujarat Titans.
Speaking to News18, Ayan said, “Every time I talk to Vaibhav bhai, I get a special feeling. We played together growing up. He’s doing great things, and I’m trying to follow his path.”
Cricket runs in Ayan’s family. His father, a former cricketer, once dreamed of donning the Indian jersey — a dream now being carried forward by the young prodigy.
Suryavanshi Sets Sights on Bigger IPL Impact
Riding high on his dream debut in IPL 2025, Vaibhav Suryavanshi has vowed to raise the bar next season. The teenager finished with 252 runs in seven innings at a blistering strike rate of 206.55, earning him the ‘Super Striker of the Season’ award.
“Whatever I did this season, I want to double it next year,” Vaibhav said in a video on the IPL website. “I want to help my team reach the finals and keep improving every game.”
Reflecting on his journey, the young star added, “Playing in the IPL is every cricketer’s dream. I’ve learned a lot in my first season and will focus on areas where I can do better next time.”
