Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor was seen offering prayers at the prayer meet of her ex-husband Sunjay Kapur, held today at the Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi. In a rare and dignified moment, Karisma stood alongside Sunjay’s current wife, Priya Sachdev Kapur, as both families came together to remember the late businessman.

Karisma was accompanied by her children, Samaira (20) and Kiaan (14), who stood beside her during the ceremony. Also present were Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan, standing in support during this difficult time.

Visuals from the meet showed Karisma and Priya offering prayers in solemn silence, with Priya seated in front of the altar while Karisma and the children stood beside her, hands folded in tribute. The moment reflected mutual respect and strength amid grief.

A Family United in Loss
Kareena Kapoor, dressed in all-white, appeared visibly emotional as she greeted attendees. Saif Ali Khan was seen offering condolences to other guests, while actress Neha Dhupia was also spotted at the gathering, paying her respects.

The prayer meet came just days after Sunjay Kapur’s funeral, held in Delhi on June 19. During the funeral, Karisma was seen consoling her children, while Kareena stayed close to her sister. Images from the cremation showed a heart-wrenching moment as Kiaan broke down in tears during the last rites.

Sunjay Kapur’s Sudden Passing
Sunjay Kapur, aged 53, passed away on June 12 in London following a sudden cardiac arrest. Reports indicate the fatal incident occurred during a polo match, where he accidentally swallowed a bee, triggering a severe allergic reaction. Despite immediate medical intervention, he could not be revived.

Sunjay Kapur’s Personal Life
Sunjay was previously married to designer Nandita Mahtani, before marrying Karisma Kapoor in 2003. The couple parted ways in 2014, and their divorce was finalized in 2016. Together, they had two children — Samaira and Kiaan.

Later, Sunjay married Priya Sachdev Kapur, with whom he had a son, Azarias. He was also a stepfather to Priya’s daughter Safira, from her previous marriage to entrepreneur and actor Vikram Chatwal. Sunjay is survived by his mother, Rani Surinder Kapur.
