Abhishek Bachchan has firmly put to rest the ongoing speculation surrounding his marriage with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, calling the rumours unfounded and dismissing the social media frenzy.

In a candid conversation with Instant Bollywood, the actor opened up about how his family remains unaffected by external gossip. “I go back home to a happy family,” he said. “One thing is for sure—first my mother (Jaya Bachchan) and now my wife (Aishwarya Rai)—they don’t allow the outside world to come into our home.”

Abhishek, who has been in the film industry since childhood, said he’s grown used to public scrutiny. “I’ve grown up in this world. I know what to take seriously and what not to. I don’t get affected by what’s happening on social media,” he added.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2007, share a daughter, Aaradhya. Yet, whispers of a rift in their marriage have persisted—fueled by their low-key public appearances together in recent months, including at high-profile events like the Ambani wedding and Aishwarya’s solo Cannes walk. The absence of the Bachchan family from Aaradhya’s birthday photos posted by Aishwarya also added fuel to the fire.

Earlier, even Amitabh Bachchan addressed the speculation in a cryptic blog post, writing, “Speculations are speculations… they are speculated untruths, without verifications.” He added that while he respects the media’s role, “untruths or selectively questioned information” can be harmful.

With Abhishek now directly addressing the rumours, he hopes to lay to rest the chatter and shift the focus back to what truly matters—his family’s happiness and privacy.
