EU Urges US to Reconsider Ban on Palestinian Officials at UN Assembly.

European Union foreign ministers have called on the United States to reconsider its decision to bar Palestinian officials from attending the UN General Assembly in New York, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said on Saturday.

Speaking after a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Copenhagen, Kallas highlighted the importance of ensuring diplomatic engagement and representation for all parties at the global forum.

She also noted that EU governments have been asked to submit proposals next week for an additional package of sanctions against Russia in response to its ongoing war in Ukraine.
