According to details listed on the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) website, the film received certification on August 29. Excel Entertainment submitted the film for certification, which was processed by the CBFC’s Mumbai regional office.

The certification details have also revealed an official synopsis, hinting that the struggle for control of Mirzapur is far from over.

The synopsis states that the battle for the throne intensifies as old enemies return and new threats emerge, with rival power-seekers fighting to control the city’s violent underworld.
