Smriti Mandhana’s Heartwarming Birthday Message for Jemimah Rodrigues Wins Fans’ Hearts

Some bonds go beyond the cricket field, and Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues share one that has grown stronger through years of unforgettable moments.

On Jemimah’s 26th birthday, Mandhana gave fans a glimpse of their special friendship by sharing a heartfelt video dedicated to her close friend and teammate.

Mandhana posted a fan-made edit that brought back the emotional scenes from the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup. One of the highlights was Mandhana running towards Jemimah for a warm embrace after Jemimah’s sensational match-winning century against Australia.

The video also captured a memorable moment from the WPL 2026 final. Although Mandhana and Jemimah were leading Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Delhi Capitals respectively, their on-field rivalry took a back seat as the two shared a hug after the game.

Admitting that editing videos is not her strength, Mandhana wrote a sweet birthday message for Jemimah: “Posting a fan edit on your birthday because you know I am not great at editing. Happy Birthday Jemuu, Wish you the best. Love you.”

Jemimah is currently unavailable for the Women’s Asia Cup after suffering an injury while representing Southern Brave in The Hundred. Her absence has seen Pratika Rawal take up the No. 3 position for India after making her debut against Thailand.
