Ayushmann Khurrana has addressed the chatter around Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, clarifying that the film does not promote infidelity but is designed as a wholesome family entertainer.

The trailer of the film, also starring Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and Wamiqa Gabbi, was unveiled at a grand event, where Ayushmann spoke about the conversations surrounding its theme.

Praising director Mudassar Aziz, he said the film offers more than a conventional romantic comedy. “The way Mudassar has woven this classic, iconic story is brilliant. It’s not a typical rom-com; there’s more comedy in the film,” he said.

Responding directly to concerns about the film endorsing infidelity, Ayushmann clarified, “We are not promoting infidelity because it’s a family film. Everyone will enjoy watching this film; it’s a comedy of errors.” He emphasised that the narrative focuses on humour, confusion, and situational chaos rather than making a statement on relationships.

The actor also shared a personal perspective, revealing that he values films his children can watch. “I took them to the edit suite during post-production, and they loved it. When kids love it, it becomes a wholesome family film,” he said.

What the trailer shows

The trailer promises a full-blown comedy of confusion. Ayushmann plays Prajapati Pandey, a simple forest officer whose life spirals into chaos after a well-intentioned act lands him in a complicated situation involving three women, played by Sara, Wamiqa and Rakul.

As misunderstandings pile up, the story turns into a chaotic comedy of errors, further amplified by Vijay Raaz’s entry as a cop.
