Pakistan Finish Women’s World Cup Winless as Rain Washes Out Final Match Against Sri Lanka.

Pakistan concluded their Women’s World Cup 2025 campaign without a single victory after their final league match against Sri Lanka at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Friday, October 24, was abandoned due to rain. They became the only team in the tournament to finish winless.

Currently, Pakistan sit seventh in the points table with three points and a net run rate of -0.58, earning all points from previously abandoned matches against Sri Lanka, Australia, and England. If Bangladesh defeats India in their final match on October 26 in Navi Mumbai, Pakistan will finish at the bottom of the table.

Team Changes and Match Preview
With the fixture rendered inconsequential, Sri Lanka made two changes, bringing in Dewmi Vihanga for Udeshika Prabodhani, while Pakistan included Syeda Aroob Shah and Eyman Fatima in place of Sidra Nawaz and Fatima Sana.

Rain Interrupts Final Game
The match was initially delayed by rain before officials reduced it to a 34-over contest. Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bat first. Pakistan’s openers, Omaima Sohail and Muneeba Ali, provided a steady start. Omaima drove a boundary off Sugandika Kumari, taking Pakistan to 18 without loss in 4.2 overs.

However, rain returned, briefly halting play. Although the match resumed momentarily, a heavy downpour forced the umpires to call off the game at 8:06 PM local time, leaving the contest unfinished.

Sri Lanka Finish Campaign
Sri Lanka ended their tournament with five points and a net run rate of -1.035, recording just one win from seven matches.
