Salman Khan rushes to Lilavati Hospital as Salim Khan admitted to ICU
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was spotted late Tuesday night outside Lilavati Hospital after his 90-year-old father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, was admitted following complaints of swelling.
The actor stepped out of the hospital premises and made his way to his car amid heavy paparazzi presence. Though he maintained calm and composure, he appeared visibly disturbed. In a video captured by media, Salman was seen briefly closing his eyes while seated inside his vehicle, seemingly offering a silent prayer.
Salim Khan was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday morning and later shifted to the ICU. Dr. Jalil Parkar, who is overseeing the treatment, confirmed the development in an official statement. He said Salim Khan was brought to the emergency ward at around 8:30 am by the family doctor, Dr. Sandeep Chopra, and was later moved to the intensive care unit on the first floor.
A team of specialists—including neurologist Dr. Vinay Chavan, cardiologist Dr. Ajit Menon, neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, and Dr. Bineet Ahluwalia—are attending to him. The hospital stated that while further details are being withheld at the family’s request, Salim Khan is currently stable and under close observation. A formal medical bulletin is expected to be issued at 11:00 am on Wednesday with the family’s consent.
Following the hospitalisation, Salman’s siblings, including Alvira Khan Agnihotri and Arpita Khan, along with actor Aayush Sharma, were also seen arriving at the hospital.
Salman reportedly left his shoot in Madh Island immediately after learning about his father’s condition and rushed to be by his side.
