Ahaan Panday Trained With Sharvari for 3 Years Before Saiyaara, Reveals Shanoo Sharma
Ahaan Panday has become an overnight sensation with his blockbuster debut, Saiyaara. The YRF film’s roaring success is being celebrated not just by audiences but also by its casting director, Shanoo Sharma, who recently revealed the intense preparation that went into Ahaan’s first role.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Shanoo shared that Ahaan underwent three years of rigorous training before filming began — often alongside Munjya star Sharvari.
“The first three years went into training. We trained, and trained, and Sharvari was also on that bandwagon. We got Sharvari and him to do improvisations and scenes, again and again. I was training them personally. Then COVID hit. During that waiting period, he joined The Railway Men as an AD,” she recalled.
Shanoo added that although Ahaan saw many of his peers moving ahead in their careers during this time, his determination never wavered.
“It may have irked him, but it never broke his spirit. The one thing Ahaan has is spirit — and it’s on another level.”
Box Office Triumph
Despite competition from new releases like Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardaar 2 and Triptii Dimri–Siddhant Chaturvedi’s Dhadak 2, Saiyaara continues its strong box-office run, crossing ₹300 crore in India within three weeks, buoyed by glowing word of mouth.
Celebrations in Style
At the film’s recent success bash, leads Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda kept it chic — Ahaan in a white tee with a grey jacket and jeans, and Aneet in a light yellow sleeveless top with denim. While no photos of the duo together have emerged, individual shots show them happily posing with fans and team members. In one video, Ahaan smiles alongside a team member as the remix of the Saiyaara title track plays in the background.
